Colour Exploration Art
Date

Colour recognition and exploration have always been a big interest in Preschool B, and we like to find ways to weave the topic into our play, circle and creative art.
For circle, the class voted for the book “The Day the Crayons Quit” — always fun to read while we look at the different colours on each page. For art, we let the children choose whatever colours they wanted from a variety of paints (red, white, black, blue, orange, green and yellow) and paint freely on paper.
The preschoolers used their pincer grasp and fine-motor skills to hold the brush. Each child used different methods and motions: some spread the paint back and forth, some dabbed, some swirled, and some carefully painted each colour before mixing them together. We can’t wait to explore colour further!
